At a nomination meeting held last night, COPE 378 Secretary-Treasurer Lori Mayhew was acclaimed to the position of President of the New Westminster District and Labour Council (NWDLC).
Sister Mayhew takes over for outgoing President Sister Terri Van Steinberg from the Federation of Post Secondary Employees. Sister Van Steinberg is leaving to take on a larger role at her union.

BC Federation of Labour President Jim Sinclair and Secretary-Treasurer Angie Schira were both re-elected this morning at the BC Fed Convention.
Sinclair and Schira were acclaimed to their positions, with no other delegates standing for the two positions.
Elections were also held for Labour Council representatives on the BC Fed's Executive Council.
