COPE 378 Pink Shirt Day

Staff and officers at the COPE 378 office today embraced the Pink Shirt Campaign against bullying.

The international campaign started in Nova Scotia in response to a bullying incident in a school, when other students began to wear pink shirts in support of the bullied student. The movement took off and schools and workplaces around the world now participate in the event annually on February 27.

The COPE 378 Executive Council endorsed the event at their meeting on February 11, and the office staff at the Union, and members at workplaces around the province wore pink today in support of the campaign.
