BC Federation Letter on M-312

COPE 378 recently received a letter from the BC Federation of Labour in opposition to Conservative MP Stephen Woodworth’s Private Member’s Motion 312 to re-open the national debate on abortion. Several other unions across Canada as well as the Canadian Labour Congress have taken positions against this motion, arguing it could allow for back-door recriminalization.

At last week’s COPE 378 Board meeting the Executive Board voted to distribute this letter to all Job Stewards and Executive Councillors for your information should you wish to support their campaign.
